THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Succotash Restaurant Review:

You may think that this cozy restaurant looks a lot more like an industrial brewery than it should. That’s because this new restaurant has moved into the former home of Potrero Brewing Company and shares some space with a dance club. Don’t let any of this deter you from Succotash. Once seated, the big booths, well-spaced tables and heated patio assuage any eyebrow-lifting nuances at the entrance. Interesting California-American food rules the stocked menu and anyone from a picky eater to a devotee of seasonal food can find more than one alluring option. For starters, try the warm chicory salad with bacon and poached egg, or a lighter salad of field lettuces with blue cheese, walnuts and charred-onion vinaigrette. The baked rigatoni is deceptively hearty in its tiny dish loaded with steaming fennel sausage and provolone cheese. Grilled salmon comes adorned with sprays of Parmesan aïoli, thinly sliced and sautéed zucchini linguini and a crisp polenta cake. Easy going sandwiches match up ham, Brie and apples, or grilled vegetables with spicy Romesco sauce. Desserts are just as homey and just as delicious. Take advantage of the happy hour $10 dinner: soup or salad, entrée, dessert and a glass of wine.
