The suits from the Financial District begin lining up at 11:30 am each weekday because this tiny gem serves up great tasting, healthy food. Everything comes in a Styrofoam box, so forget fancy. But there are a few tables, so you can eat inside if you don’t mind the plastic utensils. As to what you’ll eat, it’s Turkish, so get ready for wonderful salads redolent with parsley and lemon, kebabs of lamb and chicken and meat and vegetables drizzled with thick yogurt. In another setting, this place would earn a toque or a two - but then again, it wouldn’t be a downtown treasure. So right now it keeps the movers and shakers and anyone else that happens by very happy.
