Sunnyside Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Woohoo! The bar rocks all year at Sunnyside. Margaritas, peppered Marys (made with Absolut Peppar vodka) and mai tais flow. The menu provides a standard line-up of seafood starters (try the crab and lobster cakes), soups and salads, and steaks and chops (we like the lamb T-bone). The fish taco delivers a bargain (well, a Tahoe bargain) at six bucks, beer battered or Cajun grilled. There’s also a kids’ menu. Sunnyside’s managing partner assembles a changing list of wines he calls “Ox's Picks.” Some are the usual suspects (like oak-monster Rombauer Chardonnay), and some are more interesting (like Domaine Serene "Evanstad" Pinot Noir).
