THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES On Sunset Restaurant Review:

You must know about this restaurant as you’ll never see it as you drive along Sunset Boulevard and will barely even spot the hotel where it makes its home. But that’s why we like it, on top of the food, of course. The environment itself is quiet, making it a good spot for a business lunch or dinner as well as a romantic escape, especially if you sit on the patio. French chef Olivier Rousselle cooked for Prince Charles and even his grandmother Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother) while he was in England, so expect to be treated like royalty. Rousselle, who has now been in the Golden State for a while, composed a menu integrating both French and California cuisines. Start with his revisited salade Niçoise presented in a sardine tin. Enjoy the truffled egg with its welcome addition of ricotta di bufala. If you opt for caviar, know it will be domestically sourced and served on a homemade potato blini. Roasted Alaskan halibut topped with capers was presented simply on the plate, though it was tasty. If meat if preferred, choose between a roasted Jidori chicken stuffed with spinach ricotta, a braised short rib risotto or a herbes de Provence rack of lamb. Take the time to indulge in a cheese board before the Valrhona chocolate fudge cake or the butterscotch praline pot de crème. Wines are mainly from France and California. On Sunset is known for being a celebrity hideaway, so observant diners may spot Hollywood stars in their midst.
