In this case, it’s in the midst of the culinary options that pack Costa Mesa’s East Bay neighborhood. The dark woods and black shades of the compact interior naturally draw the eye to the lively sushi bar, where the vibrancy of the fresh product pops. Sushi is prepared with precision and features plenty of traditional items like tuna, salmon, eel and octopus. There are also several selections that may pique the interest of advanced, more adventurous sushi lovers, such as the slightly creamy gnomefish or the sea urchin paired with quail egg. Non-sushi dishes stem from traditional Japanese flavors and concepts as well, from fish head soup to salmon collar. Round out your meal by pairing it with a Japanese beer or a glass of wine.
