: The name might have changed, but this neighborhood sushi spot is still a favorite among West Villagers. The service is fine: not ultra attentive or ultra friendly. But the sushi rolls, many of which fall into the canon that can be found in every other sushi joint in the country, are decent tasting and decently priced. The tiny eight-table eatery is manned by two servers and not everything on the menu works (the crab in the spider roll tasted like it was either fried hours before or cooked in seriously old oil). But the regular rolls---tuna, eel, salmon, to name a few---are priced for the hungry and go down nicely, especially when they’re accompanied by one of the three bottled Japanese beers on offer. |
