Swan at the Globe Restaurant Review:
If you want a delightful riverside experience with a large dollop of history thrown in, try the Swan at the Globe. Diners can take a seat at the long communal table at the ground level's bar, or opt for the slightly more formal brasserie upstairs. Apart from the buzz of drinking a pint of local beer beside the Thames and the experience of the gloriously reconstructed Shakespearean theatre, there are surprises in store like Cornish mullet with fennel, beetroot and orange for starters, and classics like Hereford sirloin with shallot butter and chips for mains. Desserts include traditional choices such as cherry syllabub and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. Pre-theater 3-course menu £24.50, post-theater 2-course menu £15 (Monday to Saturday).
