It’s not just the food; it’s the atmosphere that makes this chain so popular. After all, it’s always Friday at T.G.I. Friday’s. And it’s definitely a parent’s stress-reliever: Take the kids to a place where they don’t have to be silent, where they are welcomed and where Mom can get a glass of not-bad California red. Worry not if you are single. There are plenty of those here, too. The burgers, most topped with some variation of cheese and mushrooms, are grilled to order and big enough to satisfy any meat craving. The salad entrées are meals in themselves (try the satisfying Cobb), served with garlic bread and nearly a dozen dressing choices. Come early for weekend dinners; all locations have long waits.
