Taft Street Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review:
For an unintimidating introduction to Bosnian fare, the casual Taft Street Restaurant is ideal. Try the cevapi, grilled thumb-size beef sausages tucked into a pita-like bread. Chicken kebabs, if not as authentic as one might wish, are fine, but to get a true Bosnian flavor, try the veal or pasta in a creamy sauce. Bosnian coffee, somewhere between espresso and unsweetened Turkish coffee, is first-rate. Palacinke (stuffed crêpes) practically float onto the plate; they’re loaded with either savory or sweet fillings. Our favorite is chocolate and crispy walnuts.
