Housed in a refurbished mid-century service station, Tako is a neighborhood favorite for its friendly service, relaxing vibe and menu. The space is tiny, but an outdoor eating area doubles the size. The menu features grilled Korean-style meats, including short ribs, chicken, pork and steak, which can be stuffed in a burrito, added to a rice bowl, folded into a taco or layered on top of nachos or fries. Grilled tofu, marinated vegetables and kimchi can be substituted for non-meat eaters. Several wines and beers are available, as are creative soju cocktails made with Korean rice liquor.
