TaQue’s menu combines Mexican tacos and barbecued meats (that’s why the eatery’s name is pronounced “Ta-cue”). Patrons can stroll up to the ordering line, pick from among soft, regular or blue-corn taco shells, a burrito or a rice bowl. They can then top their choice with rice, beans and one of three barbecue meats (beef brisket, pulled pork or chicken), and add guacamole and select a sauce to finish it all off. Other items include Q-Dogs with loads of southwest slaw, and a cup or bowl of chili. This place draws in folks from all over, especially since there is a fully stocked bar for nighttime chatting. Two overhead TVs keep kids interested as they plow through their own food options.
