With a tequila selection that deserves its own bragging rights, Taqueria Junction in Olmsted Falls dishes up modern Mexican and Southwestern cooking in a casual, bar-like setting. Start with a vertical flight of tequila, which consists of one shot each of añejo, reposado and silver varieties. Or opt for any of the specialty margaritas or cocktails, such as the coconut margarita, made with 1800 coconut, pineapple juice, lime, sour and rocks. Indulge in the warm, crisp and salty tortilla chips as you peruse the menu, which offers an assortment of house-made soft and hard tacos, flautas, burritos and empanadas. Prices are determined by fillings and include everything from shrimp and shredded chicken to tilapia or chorizo. Favorite mains include the just-spicy-enough chorizo flauta, the wet burrito and the Cubano with a tangy slaw. For dessert, indulge in the only sweet option available: apple empanadas, drizzled with caramel and filled with sweet-tart fruit.
