Open since 1989, Taqueria La Tapatia is renowned for serving up comfort food Tex-Mex style. A renovation, which included the addition of a horseshoe bar, spruced up the interior, making it a fine place to hang out late-night as well as in the early mornings and on weekends on the patio. You can’t go wrong with a combo plate --- enchiladas and tacos with refried beans and rice --- or the tortas, Mexican ingredients tucked between slices of thick bread. Or share a sizzling platter of pork, beef, chicken or shrimp.
