Quiet and steady, this long-lived Indian restaurant with the odd-looking décor-wallpaper studded with pheasants-is rarely crowded. The staff is friendly and doesn’t seem intent on rushing diners as this style in so many local Indian restaurants. In an area with few ethnic choices, this spot stands out as the breads are first rate and some vegetarian dishes like spinach and cheese-saag paneer-are well handled. For straightforward Northern Indian fare, it’s fine.
