Having moved from its original location across the street to this larger, more modern site, the restaurant continues serving its well-known traditional fare. Be sure to start with both the fried spring rolls and the soft ones, each option stuffed with flavorful fillings. Then the menu expands to such signature dishes as braised lamb shank, a Saigon crêpe, and a French-cut pork chop. If that seems not very Asian, remember that the French colonized Vietnam for years. More Vietnamese than French are the other main dishes, including caramel fish with steamed rice, a bowl of noodles with crispy spring rolls (our dish of choice) and many more options. A family-owned eatery also with a Tysons Corner location, the Taste of Saigon has served the DC metro area well for years, and continues to with this sleek setting.
