Taste of Thai Restaurant Review:

Thai curry dishes are our idea of comfort food, so a trip to Taste of Thai --- the stylish, airy restaurant in Del Mar --- is our idea of a tasty evening. Many of the country's regional specialties are offered, including satay with spicy peanut sauce and pad thai, but they stand out here because of their exceedingly fresh ingredients. All noodle, rice and curry dishes come with a choice of chicken, pork, beef, duck, shrimp, squid, scallops or tofu. The panang curry with fried tofu tops our list of favorites. It's simmered with green beans and red peppers and served with rice. The tofu is crispy on the outside, yet soaks up the complex red coconut curry sauce. Go for the grilled whole fish with ginger sauce or the kung ob woon (shrimp with glass noodles, ginger, celery, garlic and scallions in clay pot) and finish with fresh rambutan for a light, healthy dessert.
