Tasty n Alder Restaurant Review

: Tasty n Alder has a creative approach to food that emphasizes fresh, quality ingredients and robust flavors that stretch the envelope as to what may be eaten during the day. Expect a combination of small and big plates that arrive in a staggered fashion. You might encounter salade Niçoise, potatoes bravas with garlic aïoli, and the chocolate potato donut with crème anglaise. Other options might include Korean fried chicken with house-made kimchi, bibimbop with bacon and eggs, and several hunks of meat. Tasty n Alder is positioned as a steakhouse (you may even opt for a steak for brunch) and the dinner menu offers a plethora of grilled steak choices along with lamb, pork and local fish such as wild Alaska salmon and Arctic char. Vegetables are ordered à la carte; don't skip them. If you're not a carnivore compose a meal with the lightly dressed radicchio salad with bacon chunks or the Vietnamese-inspired Brussels sprouts tossed in a flavorful fish sauce. There's a full bar that pours a tequila-based Bloody Mary sparked with horseradish, sriracha sauce, house-made pickles and a celery salt rim. Service is always warm and friendly.
