Tecolote Restaurant Review:
Tecolote (Aztec Indian for "owl") has been one of Santa Fe's most popular spots for a hearty breakfast or lunch since 1980. The family-owned restaurant still serves french toast, Tollhouse pancakes studded with chocolate chips and walnuts, and eggs Benedict, along with bottomless cups of strong coffee. The huevos Yucatecos and sheepherder's breakfast satisfy the need for spicy New Mexican green and red chile. Traditionalists go for the notable hamburger, which is, of course, topped with green chile, bacon and a slice of American cheese.
