Tekoá, Brooklyn, NY

Tekoá Restaurant Review

: Alex Raij and Eder Montero, who are behind tapas spots Txikito, El Quinto Pino and La Vara, have switched things up with a cozy café in Brooklyn. Mornings kick off with avocado toast and Turkish breakfast (house-made simit with four-minute egg, olives, cucumber, tomato, yogurt, Manouri cheese and pickled guindilla peppers). Lunch offers salads and sandwiches, including Txikito's El Doble burger, while dinner features a range of dishes, from cornmeal gnocchi to lamb kofta. For a sweet ending, choose from Cuban bread pudding, warm molasses oat cake or the pot de crème of the day. Tekoá also features coffee from Irving Farm Coffee Roasters.
