Tep Thai Restaurant Review:
While this is just one of a thousand neighborhood Thai eateries in Greater L.A., tiny Tep Thai is not to be overlooked. The intimate restaurant, a sleek study in modernism with a few Asian accents, is particularly attractive and the staff is welcoming. The menu is familiar, with first-rate pad thai, overstuffed angel wings, heart-shaped shrimp toast, and the minty-spicy larb salad that can be rolled up taco-style in lettuce leaves. We also recommend the curries, such as a subtle, less-fiery salmon panang. Scallops are prepared in garlic sauce or spicy basil sauce. Finish with mango sticky rice or coconut ice cream to put out the fire.
