Terrasse Renault Restaurant Review:

Flattering lighting, an airy terrace and, at night, a Latin jazz band reside at this Polanco restaurant. The partnership with Renault means that the bartenders wear racing uniforms, videos of races are projected on TV sets and there is a sports car parked as discreetly as possible inside the establishment. However, what comes from the kitchen of French chef Olivier Lombard---who has been in Mexico City since the early 1990s---is always first-rate, and mostly French (along with some Mexican choices), all prepared with local ingredients. Well worth ordering are the open-face sandwiches of duck rilletes, Serrano ham, saucisson and foie gras; caramelized veal sweetbreads; and lobster tacos. There’s a full bar and a fairly extensive---and quite expensive---wine list. The house wine, a French Merlot with the chef's picture on the label, is a comparative bargain.
