Did Shakespeare's Hamlet ever answer the To be or not to be question? At any rate, this restaurant doesn't have the answers, and the question remains whether its Thai food is anything to be excited about. The kitchen drifts into serving up familiar fare robbed of its essential Thai-ness, that is, the traditional flavors that characterize this cuisine. We ate here looking to add another name to our roster of good Thai eateries in town. Alas, this does not make the cut. Its crispy noodle mee krob comes without the essential bits of pork and shrimp to add heft and texture to the puffy fried noodles. The duck basil entrée amounted to slices of roasted duck breast sautéed with loads of mushrooms and a few basil leaves, hiding the lack of meat. And the Massaman curry with beef showcased tender enough beef, but far too few pieces to qualify as a full-fledged entrée.
