With its classic Art Deco design, Formica tabletops and plastic seat covers in perfect retro-50s style, this former location of defunct Crescent Moon works well as a Thumbs Up Diner. The big windows lined with booths provide a street view of this lively metro village. This is the setting for big fluffy omelets, huge pancakes filled with pecan pieces, apple wood-smoked bacon, flavorful grits and good coffee, even if you order the decaf. In season, you can even get authentic New England maple syrup. Turkey and chicken are smoked in-house. Juices are freshly squeezed; jams are house-made as well.
