THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tierra de Vinos Restaurant Review:
A wine retailer with one of the best selections in all of Mexico, Tierra de Vinos established a restaurant in the middle of its intimately lit wine cellar on the ground floor of a building in the stylish Colonia Roma neighborhood. The place is coolly climate controlled, so bring a sweater or a jacket. Among the city’s foodies and wine snobs, as well as couples looking for a sybaritic-romantic experience, you can sample delicacies from a mostly Spanish menu, and pair them with wines by the bottle or glass recommended by the knowledgeable staff. Among the finest dishes are a tomato salad “in different versions,” which has fresh and sun-dried tomatoes, as well as a tomato-based dressing, served over lettuce; sea bream served with black rice (made with squid and squid ink); callos a la madrileña, the Madrid-style tripe stew; and roast breast of veal.
