THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Timo Restaurant Review:
John Bubala scrapped his popular French concept, Thyme, after a trip to Italy inspired Timo (Italian for the herb). Still boasting one of the most gorgeous outdoor patios in the city, the restaurant didn’t change too much, decoratively speaking, except for some splashy Chihuly-esque chandeliers. A standout is the smoky, tangy wood-grilled romaine salad with zippy black olives, caper berries, shavings of cheese and anchovy. Wood-grilling runs rampant on the menu, so you’ll also find items like the simple but appealing spit-roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and porcini sauce. For dessert, snag sweet pear crêpes with saba and vanilla bean ice cream.
