THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tokyo Restaurant Review:

This Japanese place has been doing a solid business for years now, with good---though not necessarily culinary---reason. One: it's conveniently located on a major thoroughfare and has a parking lot to boot, luring folk off the road to mix with the Fresh Pond regulars. Two: it's got a full bar, unlike many a sushi joint. And three: at least by downtown standards, the prices are reasonable. Besides, the sushi is passable if not memorable, and the katsu and yakitori are serviceable, as is the atmosphere. Décor follows the Japanese Design 101 standard, meaning calligraphy and lanterns dominate.
