![]() : Owner Tommy Andrade knows a thing or two about garlic, and his chefs are happy to share his expertise. Unlike many other local Italian restaurants, Tommy’s is clearly upscale, with a well-designed multi-room dining space, and a woody, softly lit atmosphere. Dishes such as chicken Rosemarino, soft-shell crab with crawfish pasta, and the shrimp linguine do the trick. Classic French Creole preparations are also available, such as shrimp rémoulade, crab meat maison and fish meunière. Chef specialties run heavily toward seafood casseroles, the best being the crab meat au gratin. We also suggest the seafood-stuffed eggplant with shrimp, crab and crawfish. Tommy’s tiramisu is a standout dessert, but if you are looking for crème brûlée, your search stops here. Shared by Tommy’s adjacent wine bar, the wine list covers all bases, with 150 selections and about two dozen offered by the glass. Service is seasoned and professional. |
