Torchy's Tacos Restaurant Review:

The astoundingly long lines at these boisterous taco joints, by way of Austin, Texas, would lead you to believe that they're giving away winning lottery tickets. Instead, the fervor is centered around the chain's eccentric tacos --- discs of flour or corn tortillas skyscraped with ingredients that zigzag from cubes of battered and fried avocados to pork carnitas. But while the tacos are the main draw, it's the addictive green chile queso swirled with hot sauce; roasted corn topped with queso fresco and sprinkled with red chile powder; and well-seasoned guacamole that are the real stars --- those and the seemingly endless flow of margaritas that keep the bartenders on their toes. And speaking of liquid assets, here's an insider tip: bypass the line completely for a stool at one of the two bars, both of which are first-come, first-served and offer full service.
