Trattoria Aroma Restaurant Review:
An upscale though charming and warm interior, elegantly crafted food and a satisfying wine selection can be found at Trattoria Aroma, sophisticated sister to Caffè Aroma. Trattoria Aroma has as its cornerstone a wood-burning oven. Lunch might include a verdura panini, made of artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, Asiago cheese and roasted eggplant. For lunch and dinner, look for a substantial choice of dishes in the pasta and pizza genre, including penne alla campo (pasta sautéed with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives and mushrooms in a light garlic-basil-Chardonnay sauce); Calabrese (tomato sauce, mozzarella, sopressata, onions and hot or sweet peppers); and vitello saltimbocca (veal medallions topped with Parma prosciutto and sage in a lemon butter-white wine sauce).
