Trattoria Villagio Restaurant Review:

This charming Italian bistro now occupies the property of the former Heart in Hand restaurant. Indeed, its makeover architecturally and gastronomically is a big boon for locals. The kitchen turns out daily specials, but study the menu closely. Standout bread precedes the first course, which should be the crispy calamari, crunchy and hot. Add to that an order of the fresh imported buffalo mozzarella, which makes an ideal topping for the bread. Tapas and main dishes all have an Italian flair, especially the pastas that are the entrée staples, aside from a salmon filet sautéed in an orange reduction sauce. Desserts are not all Italian, however, with a New York-style cheesecake and a seven-layer chocolate cake as star players. Choose from a very tasteful list of Italian wines. A kids’ menu is available too. Grab olive oils, wines, take-out pizzas and more from an attached Italian food mart.
