Tria Restaurant Review:

The Washington Square West location of this popular Rittenhouse Square wine- and beer-centric café is the kind of place you'll want to linger, but the question is where? The highly convivial --- and usually noisy --- first level sports a contemporary wooden bar and high-top tables, while the upper level dining room is more intimate, with regular table seating. Weather permitting, the sidewalk café is also a pleasant spot to while away the time. Nibble on cheeses or snack on chicken liver mousse with shallot marmalade, grapes and whole-grain mustard. Bruschetta come in several variations, including truffled mushroom with Fontina. Also available are panini and salads such as smoked duck and spinach with strawberries, pistachios, Grana Padano and citrus-mint vinaigrette. For dessert, you may find almond pear cake with honey goat cheese and lemon ginger syrup or flourless chocolate torte with blackberries, espresso custard and saba. The menu is accompanied by a wide selection of beers and wines by the glass.
