Turkuaz Grill Restaurant Review:

As its name suggests, family-run Turkuaz Grill gets most of its influence from Turkish cuisine, though the Mediterranean fare runs the gambit, with a host of different dishes from the region. Seafood options like whole grilled branzini and a variety of shish kebabs, ranging from surf to turf, are some of the stars of the main dishes, but we also like the appetizers, including traditional mezze. Stuffed grape leaves, hummus, tabbouleh, falafel --- all made in-house --- are sure to please as well. A kids' menu lists simple choices like a burger and chicken fingers, but also a more traditional gyro or kebab if they are feeling adventurous. A selection of beers and Turkish wines are available. Desserts include rice pudding and baklava. The cozy atmosphere, decorated with a Mediterranean pastel color palette and boosted by the friendly, helpful staff, is another part of what has made this restaurant a staple among locals. Outdoor seating offers beautiful views over the Peconic River as you dine.
