The automat meets the vinotheque at this high-tech wine bar (the sister establishment to neighboring Ugo café) in Culver City. Load a debit card and take your pick of any of four dozen wines inside the automated wine-dispensing machines. One ounce pours range from under a dollar to more than $25, with bottles valued from $15 to $500. With four machines, there's no waiting, just plenty of choices, with selections from California, Italy, France, Spain and South Africa --- and tasting notes on each bottle. Whether you like beefy reds from Napa or delicate whites from Alsace, Ugo Wine Bar has something to please your palate. Food options include basics like fried calamari, small pizzas, burrata with tomatoes, and veal meatballs in a marinara sauce. Gelato is available for dessert.
