Boisterous, happy noise rises to the rafters in this rustic room outfitted in reclaimed barn wood. The bar is a golden-lit stage for the busy bartender shaking up craft cocktails such as refreshing basil cucumber vodka gimlets. Small, communal tables are claimed by both after-work folk unwinding and families with itty-bitty children. Everyone seems pleased with the generous portions and signature, seasonal, Latin-inspired dishes. The ceviche trio, celebrating tuna, cod and shrimp, comes with a delicate, pleasing cucumber salad and house-made tortilla chips. Seafood paella is loaded with mussels, chicken, sausage, peas and saffron rice, and crowned with giant Gulf prawns. Also on the menu are Kobe-pork belly tacos, brick-pressed boneless half-chicken with mole sauce, appetizers, salads and sides. Leave room for plantain fritters served with dulce de leche ice cream and Mexican hot fudge. Full wine list, beers on tap, sangría, copious happy hours, plus bottomless mimosas served up for weekend brunches.
