THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Village Kitchen Restaurant Review:
The downstairs portion of the former Village Marquee has been transformed into a different concept aiming at becoming a regular destination for Highland Park's well-to-do families. Gone are the white tablecloths and sparkling chandeliers that once adorned the space, replaced with hardwood floors and warm-toned leather banquettes. Chef Andre Natera's menu offers a little something for everyone, from raw oysters and tuna tartare for the more adventurous palates to crowd-pleasers like lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, burgers and loaded baked potato gnocchi, plus Fruity Pebbles milk shakes for the kids. Rotating nightly specials include chicken and waffles and, unusually enough, the fine-dining throwback lobster Thermidor.
