THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Villard Michel Richard Restaurant Review:

This “bistro” is the less formal arm of Villard Michel Richard, a culinary complex from chef Michel Richard in The New York Palace. (The adjacent Gallery at Villard Michel Richard --- temporarily closed for the summer 2014 season --- serves sophisticated French fare, while Pomme Palais by the lobby offers pastries and sandwiches.) Daily breakfast and weekend brunch are currently the only meals available here, but the opulence of the Villard Mansion still makes for a grand dining setting. Be sure to have a look at the Jeffrey Beers-designed glass room holding up to 1,000 bottles of wine. Continental and American morning dishes range from chicken sausage cocotte and stuffed crème brûlée french toast (made with Richard’s brioche) to “Healthy Alternatives” of homemade muesli and seasonal berries. The menu includes coffee drinks, teas and freshly squeezed juices.
