Vince Staten's smoked and pulled pork, chicken and beef (not to mention Memphis-style dry-rubbed baby-back ribs) are unpretentious. And what's wrong with the option of a shot of bourbon, rather than a cold beer, with your 'cue? Staten's has half a dozen house sauces and the fiery Legal Limit is the stand-out. (You can purchase a six pack, by the way.) The potato salad, made with whole cream, isn’t to everyone's taste. But Staten's banana pudding, courtesy of his wife Judy, is legendary. Check out the all-you-can-eat ribs on Tuesday at dinner.
