![]() : Along the U Street Corridor, this wine-centric eatery offers plenty of choice libations plus an abbreviated menu that focuses on small plates (sliced hams, cheeses, white anchovies and more), artisanal cheeses and entrées of duck breast, bison, fish and risotto. Desserts are just as creative, like a scoop of honey-sunflower ice cream. Yet despite all the luxe food, it is the bar scene --- cocktail and wine flights that tickle the palate --- that brings the big crowds into the tiny space. Note that management sources local wines and brews when possible. And by the way, the restaurant offers a bocce court for al fresco games. |
