Virgil's Real BBQ Restaurant Review:

Virgil’s Real BBQ takes its inspiration and cowboy décor from America’s bastions of barbecue, drawing from the styles of Texas, Tennessee and the Carolinas. Huge windows overlook the resort’s stingray attraction. Portions are large and designed to share. Start off with signature specialties like the “Trainwreck Fries” that come covered with melted cheddar and jack, smoked bacon, scallions, jalapeños and ranch dressing. Entrées include platters of pulled Carolina pork, grilled shrimp skewers, Memphis pork ribs and Texas beef brisket; and sides of barbecue beans, potato salad, collard greens and cornbread. Pecan pie is the signature dessert. The lunch menu is à la carte offering the same meats via sandwiches. A few beers are available on tap, including Virgil’s Ale, plus many more by the bottle. Wine options are limited, but there are specialty cocktails, fine whiskeys and frozen tropical drinks such as piña coladas and margaritas. Virgil’s Real BBQ is located in the Coral Towers at the Atlantis Resort.
