Vuong Restaurant Review:

Which way to go? On the one hand there are suave cocktails shaken with expertise, and on the other some of the city’s most celebrated coffee baristas mix their heady caffeinated brews. Either way, this French-Vietnamese brasserie is one of the hippest spots to imbibe. “Vuong” is Vietnamese for “royal,” a fitting name for all the local royalty you’ll see hobnobbing in the sexy cocktail lounge. A sleek modern design paired with colonial antiques give it a decadent French-Indochine feel that harkens to Graham Greene’s book The Quiet American---the brasserie’s inspiration. The cuisine is appropriately stylish, with familiar Vietnamese dishes bright with clean, herbal flavors and the smolder of fresh chilies. Upstairs, La Perle Noir is a members-only club for the super fabulous.
