THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Wallflower Restaurant Review:

Hidden just off Greenwich Avenue on W. 12th Street, Wallflower is one of those West Village gems you just have to have heard about (rather than, say, stumble upon). The 15-table spot is tiny, narrow and candlelit. The restaurant is co-owned by longtime Daniel head bartender Xavier Herit, which explains why the cocktail list is so inspired. Order a Betty Draper (gin, sherry and various syrups) and peruse the menu. The pâté selection (with foie gras and pheasant terrine) is a great way to start before moving on to dishes like scallops with cabbage and smoked caviar or black truffle-spiked duck sausage. There isn’t much in the way of dessert but the brioche with pear confit and vanilla ice cream isn’t a bad way to end the meal.
