The spinoff of Vienna’s Maple Ave Restaurant, this appealing and more formal eatery is not near water, nor facing a wall. The name recalls the place in NYC where chef Tim Ma and his wife lived, and where their culinary life began. To start, opt for the country pâté with orange marmalade, the fried calamari with sudachi aïoli, or the beet raviolini with goat cheese. Among the eight entrées, all of which are unique to this restaurant, we recommend the rabbit ragù with Tuscan pancetta and the duck leg confit. Desserts are a bit whimsical, but if you like chocolate try the bittersweet chocolate bread pudding. The upfront bar and a clever cocktail maker help spread the cheer in this decidedly sophisticated setting.
