THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Watergate Restaurant Review:
Chef Walter Liangs version of Pan-Asian fusion cuisine is both unpretentious and delightful. Witness such creations as the Lobster Martini: two sweet, tender spears of lobster atop a martini glass full of creamy, cilantro-spiked mashed potatoes. Entree selections, whether meat, fish or vegetarian, are savory and rich. Sauces rely on creative spicing rather than excess butterfat. Top off the meal with a homemade dessert and a glass of tawny port. The prix-fixe menu allows diners to sample an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert for $25---which may well be the best meal deal in the city.
