Welcome to the Johnsons Restaurant Review:

Is this the most hipster-frequented bar on the Lower East Side? Has Williamsburg transplanted itself to Manhattan? Perhaps. But among the myriad of nearby bars, Welcome to the Johnsons stands out for more than just its whimsical name. A refrigerator bedecked with kitschy magnets, wood paneling and ancient sports trophies behind the bar give the main room a homey and decidedly '70s ambience. Don't expect a great wine list or an expensive microbrew on tap here---it's all about irony at the Johnsons, even if the partiers have to drink poor-quality beverages in the process.
