Woody's Grill & Tap Restaurant Review:

Grilled pizzas, including the famed "kitchen sink," which includes everything from Italian sausage and pepperoni to white mushrooms and onions, and traditional pub fare like chicken fingers, spinach dip, burgers and quesadillas are served in simple, comfortable digs. Tucked behind Symphony Hall, this bar and grill has just enough style, with sponged yellow walls and big, comfortable tables, to make it a nice, casual date place. Students from the many nearby colleges keep Woody's busy, but it's rarely overcrowded. We don't recommend straying far past the interestingly topped pies, like the version with Jamaican jerk and white clams, paired with microbrews on tap, although the creamy chicken ziti broccoli is worth consideration. You can also create your own pizza choosing from 30-plus toppings. Vegetarians like the marinated tofu and grilled portobello mushroom sandwich and veggie burger made of lentils, chickpeas, potato and garlic. All of the food seems to taste better when paired with a pint of local microbrew from Harpoon, Cambridge Brewery Co. or Blue Hills Brewery.
