World Cafe Live Restaurant Review:
A menu of salads, burgers and specialties like duck confit with German potato salad along with the occasional international wine dinner and a nightly lineup of live music acts makes this University City venue an original. The upstairs café also serves a daily $8 lunch special, and hosts a busy happy hour. To dine downstairs, you’ll need a ticket for the show, an eclectic array of musical guests playing everything from blues to bluegrass. The chef changes the menu nightly, often in keeping with the musical theme. A seasonal menu utilizing locally sourced products might be on tap for an intimate evening with a singer-songwriter, while feijoada, a black bean and pork stew native to Brazil, makes an appearance for Carnival.
