THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Yang Chow Restaurant Review

: The Yun family founded the Chinatown branch of Yang Chow in 1977; the five brothers named the establishment for their Chinese birth city. This location has proven to be a Valley favorite. It's a handsome spot with reasonable prices, friendly service and a long menu of Mandarin and Szechuan dishes that keep diners’ interest. Favorites include the slippery shrimp that’s light and both spicy and sweet, as well as the chicken with black mushrooms and squid with black bean sauce. Other items to consider are the scallops with spicy garlic sauce, the fish filet with Chinese wine sauce and Chinese spaghetti with hoisin sauce. To drink, there’s tea and soda. Don’t forget the fortune cookies for dessert. Additional locations can be found at 819 N. Broadway in downtown Los Angeles and at 3777 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena.
