Zaika Restaurant Review:

Zaika presents a menu replete with authentic Indian foods. Guests can enjoy a lunchtime buffet with offerings that go beyond the usual tandoori chicken and dal. Instead, the chef chooses dishes that reflect what you might encounter on the menu, only on the line you can refill your plate over and over again. Look for lamb rogan josh and palak paneer, the khile phool (cauliflower and potatoes) and Punjabi kadhi pakora. But should your culinary imagination kick in, turn to the menu, where you can consider the fiery chicken 65, the intriguing lamb patiala and the kadai shrimp. A lunch “tiffin” consists of three items, packed up and ready to go. The extensive dinner line-up delves into an array of soups and appetizers including garlic shrimp with white wine and honey, and entrées of seafood, chicken, lamb and a special goat curry. The kitchen even offers a few Indo-Chinese options, such as chili chicken. Vegetarians will find plenty of sustenance with assorted lentil, chickpea and paneer dishes. Desserts are traditional, and may be augmented with a shot of Kir or brandy. Wine selections are limited though notable, and beer (Indian Kingfisher, Taj Mahal) and cocktails tempt. You can also add a mango lassi by the glass.
