THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Zavos Restaurant Review:

Zavos feels more like a neighborhood bar than anything else, and it wears that wig well. But once you get to know what’s on the menu, a whole other side reveals itself, and it’s more often pleasant than not. There are a few duds on the menu (souvlaki and kolokithopita pumpkin pastry among them), but for the most part this kitchen does a fine job with Mediterranean comfort food, especially when its buttery-soft house-made pita bread is part of the dish. The youvarlakia meatball soup, laced with a bit of nutmeg, is a good bet as well. Alcohol is limited to beer only at this point.
