Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas is the world's largest cruise ship

Royal Caribbean Creates World's Largest Cruise Ship
Harmony of the Seas is the newest member to join Royal Caribbean's fleet and it is record breaking! Not since the Titanic has so much buzz surrounded the launch of a new ship. Weighing 226,963 gross tons and measuring at 1,188 feet long (362 meters), it exceeds the height of the Eiffel Tower, which stands at 1,062-feet tall (324 meters), and is the world's largest cruise ship. The vessel was manufactured at the STX France shipyard, taking approximately three years and more than 10 million hours of labor to construct. Despite the massive undertaking, Harmony of the Seas was completed two weeks in advance. The ship can hold 6,800 passengers, and notable features include 40 restaurants, 23 swimming pools, an ice skating rink, theater, mini-golf course, The Ultimate Abyss (the tallest water slide at sea) and the "neighborhood" Central Park.
